Subject Outline

This subject is designed to provide the knowledge and skill for participants to be able to identify a range of Asbestos products and materials and be able to report the material to the relevant person.

Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 mandates asbestos awareness training for all construction occupations as well as workers and employers that reasonably believe they will work with asbestos or asbestos containing material while at work.

Additionally, it will also allow participants to meet a range of State and Territory requirements including Acts and Codes of Practice in the State or Territory of their employment.

Pre-Requisite Requirements

  • You must be over 18 years of age to complete this Subject
  • You must be able to provide government ID (Photo ID preferred)
  • USI ID (Australia)

Assessment

Trainees will be assessed by short answer and multiple-choice questions along with a practical activity.
